Student dies after reportedly jumping onto moving train

Colombo, Oct 26 (Daily Mirror)- A 17-year-old student of the Royal College in Colombo reportedly committed suicide by jumping onto a moving train near Dematagoda Railway station, police said.

They said the student, a resident of Beruwala, had died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital after being hit by a Colombo bound express train from Nanu Oya.

Police said the Grade 12 student arrived in the Maradana area to participate in a special programme in the school.

The Dematagoda Police are investigating the incident.

Government must open a 24/7 hotline for the dipressed, students and/or adults, to seek help privately, like the phonelines that are available in many developed countries

The National Mental Health hotline is already available and other charities like Sumithrayo also have hotlines. Do a bit of research before you start complaining. And it's "depressed" and not "dipressed" as you have stated.
