Students arrested for theft had their own pornography inside stolen computer
Following an arrest of three boys of leading schools in Horana in connection with breaking into several shops, the police had found a number of pornographic videos recorded by them inside a stolen computer.
The Anguruwatota Police arrested the students who are of 16 years old, residents of Dombagoda and Batagoda areas for breaking into eight shops and stealing more than Rs. 4 million worth of mobile phones, laptops and other items.
The three students were arrested on Thursday night (15) while riding on motorcycles with an axe.
Following the arrest, the Police had recovered three motorcycles used by the students, stolen mobile phones, laptops and other items.
Police recovered several pornographic videos inside the stolen computer and it was revealed that some of the nude videos were of a group of girls who were associates of the arrested students.
Police said the students reportedly had broken into a number of shops in Anguruwatota, Horana, Ingiriya and Bulathsinhala areas and stolen goods.
However, the police were only able to reveal the eight theft cases as they were produced in court after being detained for 24 hours.
The students were granted bail after being produced before the Horana Magistrate's Court.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
