“There are several idiots in the Cabinet’’ - SLPP MP
While stressing that he was not aware of the current stance of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), MP Wimalaweera Dissanayaka warned that he was not ready to sit idle in the government.
A very bitter MP Dissanayake addressing a SLPP media briefing said however that he has no issues with the President or the majority of members in the government.
“Nevertheless, there are several idiots in the Cabinet,” he said.
"I have worked tirelessly for five years to build the SLPP and bring electoral victory for the SLPP in the Ampara district while both my kidneys decayed. I have no problem with most of them in the government. But there are several idiots in the Cabinet, with whom I have several issues," he said.
Although he has no difference of opinion with President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the government, Dissanayaka reiterated that he is unhappy to be an idle member of the government.
