Bitter Truth also hurts Thursday, 08 September 2022 11:55 AM
Even in a private company the management has greater accountability and responsibility. And they are better paid. Why are we grudging the rulers whom we ourselves elected? If we made a mistake we should sack ourselves and hit our heads on a wall.
00
Kochchi Putha (Activist) Thursday, 08 September 2022 10:43 AM
How long these 30 state ministers will remain in the Parliament? This is the question now; they will have to protect their houses and hide somewhere in a forest soon.
00
Kokki Suda (Boralesgamuwa GF A-G Leader) Thursday, 08 September 2022 10:47 AM
Initially, at least 15 of the Sworn state ministers will be murdered and their houses will be Burt to ashes very soon, now we are working out the name list for the 1st phase plans on that subject.

Gonny Baba (Surain) Thursday, 08 September 2022 10:50 AM

So the same corrupt click is back on the track . Looks Aragalaya has failed temporarily, so it should be started again with more vigor and more organized manner with an un corrupt leader ship to chase these rouges headed by Ranil out of power very soon.

When this guy has no mandate he is trying to hang on by spending public funds. These guys will be paid along with vehicles, security etc. Each one will also have personal staff having same type of expenses. people have no essentials so well done.
00
Bernard Jayatilake Thursday, 08 September 2022 11:13 AM
By increasing the prices of all essential food items and essential services, more and more state ministers can be sworn in to show gratitude for electing you as the president which you would never have won through an election by the people of this country.
00
More burden on poor people. Thursday, 08 September 2022 11:18 AM
Better to appoint even the rest in government as state minister and get them to make some sacrifice and receive only the MPs salary.

This act is a selfish and crime act done for own personal political survival. Idiotic people would still think this man is the best choice. Even god can’t save this country.

This is at a time when a majority are suffering without being able to make the ends meet. Children are suffering from malnutrition. There should be a firm Arahgalaya to chase away these rogues.

04 from the SLFP and 33 from the
SLPP.
The balance 97 from the 134 who is keeping Ranil in power may also be rewarded with similar gifts , besides those who are already
enjoying Ministerial posts.
The loan that is being expected from the IMF can be reserved to
maintain these fellows who are
keeping Ranil in power.
Nandalal Weerasinghe must do his duty by appraising the IMF on this.
00
William Thursday, 08 September 2022 02:11 PM
Aiyo not enough. Along with the 30 ministers you only have 67. What is needed is a further 83 to muster a two third majority after that everything is rolly poly. Nothing like trying. Go for it Prez - the masses are asses.
00
Ram Thursday, 08 September 2022 02:58 PM
Thanks to some of these dishonest politicians RW is in the hot seat. This is payback time and this way he buys insurance for his continued stay for the left over period
00
vithura Thursday, 08 September 2022 03:44 PM
IMF should now reduce the all costs incurred on these 134 ministerial appointments from the agreed SLA amount, otherwise these imbeciles will never learn. They should be taught how to run a country with effective small government.
00
sam Thursday, 08 September 2022 04:16 PM
Great achievement for a govt without mandate
00
Noor Nizam Thursday, 08 September 2022 06:09 PM
Can the President's Office also release information about the wages/salaries, "PERKS", privileges, staff allocations, transport expenses, vehicles, back-up vehicles and security personnel expenses, number of of guards and STF personnel who will be attached, number of cellphone facilities and amounts released for their costs, petrol allocations, entertainment allowances, government bungalows/residences and their costs and any funds for foreign travel. This is not a challenging question to Ranil's government, but to exactly for the "PUBLIC" to know what these appointments "COST" the Tax payers.
Noor Nizam - Peace and Political Activist, Political Communications Researcher, SLFP/SLPP Stalwart, Patriotic Citizen.

00
Sinful Thursday, 08 September 2022 06:41 PM
People are struggling with the ever increasing cost of living. Medicines and most items have doubled and tripled in price and here we are wasting money on these state ministers. My mother is a bed patient for 13 yrs and I am struggling to keep her alive as her meds and other items have become unaffordable but here the Govt spends loosely.
00
Ranil Thursday, 08 September 2022 08:31 PM
All prices are sky rocketing and expecting people to pay taxes. You expect them to pay your appointees
00

What a Nice President. He provided unemployed MP's with jobs. But who will pay their expenses?
Bleeding citizens will pay them to safeguard Ranil's power.
00
Cherath Thursday, 08 September 2022 09:53 PM
FACT - The country is back to square one - NOTHING CHANGED, albeit under a puppet President who has no public mandate and a PM who just moved up a seat. With such a jumbo set of State Ministers, practically entirely of Pohottuwa Sri Lanka is stuck in deep mud for the foreseeable future without a trace of a plan for economic recovery. How are we paying the interest on loans taken AND those planned?
00
GHT Thursday, 08 September 2022 09:57 PM
We can understand right now that why Ranil's interim Budget has TAXED the people.
