The fact that China, India, the US, Russia, and European countries have given more COVID vaccines to Sri Lanka than expected demonstrates their confidence in the country, Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said.

He said the country is moving along with the Covid threat, which can be managed through a progressive programme.

Therefore, as members of the general public, everyone should take appropriate action necessary to protect themselves from the virus, the Minister said.

"We saw two world wars during the past century. I think this is more of a war than a world war, "he said.
