Lankagama a place to break monotony of urban life

Nestled among the lush mountains on the fringe of the Galle district and abutting the Sinharaja forest reserve is the sleepy village called ‘Lankagama’. A meandering road off the southern town of Neluwa leads to it. The area drew media and public attention over the road construction slicing through the mountainous terrain. Controversy aside, the village, constantly caressed by salubrious winds blowing from the cool Sinharaja forest, abounds with natural resources offering great potential for further development of tourism
