ICFS to host ’Education Yaalpanam’ for students seeking overseas opportunities



Colombo, Sep 4 (Daily Mirror) - The International Centre for Foreign Studies (ICFS) will host the fourth session of 'Education Yaalpanam' on September 7 at the Vavuniya Public Library and on September 8 at the Jaffna Public Library Auditorium.

ICFS CEO Ms. Chathurika Dissanayake said that this session will feature study opportunities from Australia, the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, and the USA. 

She said attendees will benefit from English waivers, scholarships, and instant university admissions during the weekend event.

Ms. Dissanayake emphasized that ICFS offers free consultation services, including assistance with university admissions and visa processes.

Since its inception in April 2024, Education Yaalpanam has helped over 20 students secure visas to their preferred study destinations, with many others currently working on their visa applications through ICFS.

Ms. Dissanayake said a strong preference among students from Jaffna for studying in the UK. As such, the event will provide information on institutions such as De Montfort University, Coventry University, Greenwich University, University of Hull, University of East Anglia, Leeds Beckett University, and others.

ICFS requests all attendees to arrive at the Jaffna Public Library Auditorium by 9 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, to address time management issues encountered at the previous event, Education Yaalpanam 3. 

Ms. Dissanayake assured that necessary arrangements have been made to ensure everyone has the opportunity to meet with ICFS representatives and receive personalized consultations without delays.
