The trade fair, which is one of the largest trade shows in the world and showcased over 3,500 exhibitors this year, highlighted the strategy as a unique concept.

Featuring Sri Lanka on the ITB Berlin e-Magazine and web portal, the ITB said: ”While other countries were puzzled over quarantine, closed borders and limited visits, the introduction of the novel concept has encouraged tourist travels to Sri Lanka, in a safe and secure mechanism”.
