SLTB launches luxury bus service between BIA and Makumbura

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) luxury bus service is now available between Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and the Makumbura Multimodal Center (MMC) in Kottawa, providing greater convenience for travellers, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka announced.

Passengers can board the bus parked on the main road adjacent to the Katunayake Police Station.

Passengers have to carry their luggage from the Arrival terminal to the bus halt which is about 200 m away. And, what about if it rains? This is not the first time this service has been launched. Spend some money and have a big launching ceremony because our country is full of fools.

Very good start. There are taxi drivers who harassingly approach tourists at the air Port. In s Korea there are Air port buses that come at certain Bus stops every one hour. it is very successful . Please do not stop this program for any reason

They should divert the rail track to approach the Airport and take passengers to Colombo Fort Station. A new station "Airport Station" needs to be established. This can be constructed on adjoining available land and and underground tunnel established to connect both locations. This is true development and not this kind of foolish temporary methods.
