Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday assumed duties as the new government’s Finance Minister, at the Finance Ministry premises in Colombo. Two Finance State Ministers Ajith Nivard Cabraal and Shehan Semasinghe, Education Minister G.L. Peiris, President’s Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara and Treasury Secretary Sajith Atygalle were among those present at the occasion.
