Access Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s Access Engineering PLC, has signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for a 6.6 megawatt (MW) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) plant. 

The agreement was finalised on November 22, 2024, under CEB’s Net Plus Plus scheme, the company disclosed on Friday.

The Net Plus Plus initiative classifies rooftop solar systems as power plants, allowing producers to use only the auxiliary power required for operations while supplying the remainder to the grid. 

The scheme supports a roof rental or aggregator model aimed at maximising solar generation by enabling investors or tariff customers to partner with utilities.
