The Business School of CA Sri Lanka held a special ceremony recently to welcome the fourth intake of its prestigious Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics Programme.

The event was attended by CA Sri Lanka Vice President Tishan Subasinghe and Data Analytics Programme Senior Lecturer Thisara Watawana and over 40 participants.

The Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics Programme enjoys a diverse range of participants, including business owners, directors, CFOs, finance managers, accountants and financial and business analysts.

The previous three intakes collectively trained over 100 professionals. 

Data analytics applies generally to all processes and resources necessary for the collection and analysis of critical data. Analytics is a wider concept, which incorporates multiple data processing methods and processes. It collects and transfers valuable data from information and analyses it to generate numerical data and patterns that can lead to profitable improvement.

The Advanced Certificate in Data Analytics offered by CA Sri Lanka aims to provide participants with a challenging curriculum covering the most in-demand skills, tools and technologies in data analytics that’s primed for industry relevance.

Dive into the Business Intelligence using Tableau and Power BI, data mining using SQL and statistical analysis using R programming languages. 

Thereafter, branch into machine learning and artificial intelligence using Python with algorithms of increasing complexity, from decision trees and random forests. Participants will also be introduced to the latest cloud and big data technologies using the Azure cloud services.

Organisations would benefit from this programme as it would enable enhanced understanding of the client base in terms of customer trends and behaviours and ensuring effective marketing strategies and more focused pitching of products and services, as well as help them understand which processes can be optimised or automated.
