The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) and Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the aim of supporting the CMA Excellence in Integrated Reporting Awards 2024 (CMA-IR Awards).

This strategic collaboration will position the CSE as the strategic partner of the awards, which focuses on promoting integrated reporting practices amongst listed entities and other key institutions in Sri Lanka.
The CMA-IR Awards serve as a platform to promote excellence in integrated reporting across various sectors, recognising organisations that effectively communicate on how they create value over time. The awards highlight the importance of integrated reporting in promoting transparency and accountability, which are critical for
investor confidence.

CSE CEO Rajeeva Bandaranaike commented, “We are pleased to support an initiative that encourages companies to adopt best practices in building a sustainable, ethical and responsible corporate culture. By providing a holistic view of long-term value creation, companies foster trust among investors, strengthening the resilience, attractiveness and competitiveness of our capital markets in line with global sustainability trends.”

CMA President and CMA-IR Awards Chairman Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala stated, “On this 10th anniversary, we mark this significant milestone by having the CSE as our Strategic Partner for the 2024 awards. This collaboration highlights our mutual dedication to promoting high standards of integrated reporting and value creation.”
