The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce yesterday commended the new administration for swiftly resolving the visa on arrival issue by reinstating the Electronic Travel Authorisation system. The tourism industry has been gravely concerned about this matter impacting the positive growth momentum of the sector.
“Resolving the visa matter was one of the top 10 priorities the chamber urged the president to address within his first six months in office,” it said in a statement. The Ceylon Chamber would continue to support the government in the implementation of the other priority areas outlined in Vision 2030, it said.
