Dialog Axiata and BOI officials after agreement signing

Dialog Axiata PLC is set to invest US $ 112.8 million to expand its existing business through network expansion. A supplementary agreement in this regard was recently signed between Dialog Axiata and the Board of Investment (BOI).

A bulk of the investment will go to grow the current physical footprint of mobile towers to cater to the capacity growth requirements and to expand the company’s 4G LTE network.

Dialog expects to complete the investment within a period of two years.

This company and others in the same business just got the right to put 20% price increase on all products. Government is just causing inflation increases when they allow for across the board price increases for all telephone, mobile and internet products instead of distinguishing which are really affected by rupee going down and which aren't. Landline charges did not need to go up 20% compared to internet which connects to the world. Minister and regulator are lazy or muddle headed, or otherwise minister, his associates and top officials at regulator are getting free handset from the company benefiting from the indiscriminate across the board 20% price increase.
