EDB launches export readiness programme for beginners

The Export Development Board (EDB) has announced a specialised export readiness programme aimed at equipping beginners with essential skills and knowledge for engaging in international trade.

Set for October 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the 6th Conference Room of the EDB, the programme will cover key topics including the requirements for exporting, insights into exportable products in both agriculture and industrial sectors and basic compliance standards.

Participants will also explore effective market strategies and the role of technology in enhancing export operations.
In addition to theoretical lessons, the programme will offer practical insights on value addition and testing services available through the Institute of Industrial Technology (ITI).

Interested applicants are to apply for the programme through the EDB website. Selection will be based on a first-come, first-served basis.

“Exports play a crucial role in our country’s economy, increasing interest among companies and individuals in becoming exporters. We encourage all interested parties to attend this informative session and take the first steps towards becoming a successful exporter,” the EDB stated.
