EO Sri Lanka Chapter welcomes new board and president for 2023-2024

EO Sri Lanka, in September, inaugurated a new board and president at an event held at Mount Lavinia Hotel.
Outgoing President Jitherndra Gajendran, Gajma & Co. Director, handed over the reins to Trade Promoters Ltd Director Haresh de Soysa.

Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO), a global organisation for entrepreneurs and business owners, arrived in Sri Lanka in 2017, with the launch of EO Sri Lanka. Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic and economic crisis, EO in Sri Lanka has expanded its membership to 50+ in 2023. On a global scale, EO is a diverse, professional and high-quality network of more than 18,000 business founders and owners in 220 chapters across 75+ countries worldwide.

Its purpose is to move the world forward by unlocking entrepreneurs’ full potential and it does this through the power of life-enhancing connections, shared experiences and collaborative learning. Launched in 1987, EO has been helping entrepreneurs find community and achieve transformational growth together, guided by its core values of trust and respect, thirst for learning, think big be bold and together we grow.

This transition comes on the heels of a noteworthy event in June when the local chapter played host to the EO South Asia Leadership Conference (SALC) in Colombo. The conference drew in an impressive crowd of 300+ entrepreneur participants, representing EO chapter boards from across the South Asian region. The SALC, beyond being a gathering of business minds, served as a platform for promoting regional cooperation and knowledge exchange. Attendees engaged in insightful discussions, shared their experiences and also explored Sri Lanka’s unique attractions and business opportunities.
