President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Chairman Duminda Hulangamuwa and Sri Jayewardenepura University Professor Dr. Anil J. Fernando to key advisory positions to assist him on economic and financial matters. 

Both the advisors are set to assume the roles of Senior Consultants of Economic Affairs, effective September 24, 2024, on an honorary basis. 

Duminda Hulangamuwa, who also serves as the Country Managing Partner for EY Sri Lanka & Maldives is a prominent figure in Sri Lanka’s business community with over 30 years of experience in the industry. 

He is a qualified member of both the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He also holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.  Professor Dr. Anil J. Fernando is an academic figure affiliated with the Department of Accounting at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He holds a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Technology Thailand and a Master of Science in Finance from ESCP-EAP European Business School in France.
