The DSS big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technology determine peak hours and door operation patterns to optimise operation efficiency. Further, the DSS helps to operate the system without physical contact with the operation panel, which minimises the risk of viral transmission while enhancing the security by preventing unauthorised entry. The Office Complex for Grafeio One (Pvt.) Ltd on Aloe Avenue, Colombo 3, with six high-speed Hyundai Elevators, is the one and only building in Sri Lanka to utilise the state-of-the-art destination control system.

Cinnamon Life Integrated Resort by John Keells Holdings PLC stands as a testament to the efficiency and quality of Hyundai elevators and escalators, boasting 85 vertical elevators including high-speed elevators and 27 escalators, including Sri Lanka’s longest escalator, which serves levels two to seven in the hotel area. The Cinnamon Life project is further enhanced with the exclusive destination selecting system, which is expected to result in significant benefits at the location.

The portfolio of Abans Engineering is further enhanced by the other projects that were undertaken and successfully completed, such as Colombo City Centre, equipped with 15 elevators and 10 escalators and The Dynasty Apartment Complex in Kandy that consists of the tallest machine room less elevators in Sri Lanka. Hyundai Elevators is the first elevator manufacturer in the world to receive a grade ‘A’ certification from TUV, German Institute of Energy efficiency rating (VDI 4707 Part1), which is an international certification given after assessing an elevator’s operation time, energy consumption and average operation distance. Hyundai’s ultra-high-speed elevator (THE EL) also became the first in the world to receive the ‘A’ class (the best-in-class system) in the ultra-high-speed elevator (600mpm) category.
