ITC Ratnadipa accredited with LEED Platinum certification by USGBC



Reaffirming ITC Hotel’s commitment to responsible luxury and sustainability, ITC Ratnadipa Hotel in Colombo has been accredited with the coveted LEED Platinum certification by USGBC, (United States Green Building Council).

ITC Hotels is currently the world’s largest chain with the maximum number of LEED Platinum certified properties as per USGBC, creating planet positive experiences that align with the vision of significantly reducing emissions. 

Right from developing the site to construction and operations, sustainability has been at the heart of design at ITC Ratnadipa with enhanced focus on energy efficiency, sustainable site development, use of sustainable materials and indoor environment quality. 

This LEED certification identifies ITC Ratnadipa as an exemplar of sustainability and demonstrates its leadership in transforming the hospitality industry towards a planet positive future. 

ITC Hotels marked their international foray with ITC Ratnadipa in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This architectural marvel was recently inaugurated by The President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Ranil Wickremesinghe. ITC Ratnadipa is ITC Hotel’s 16th Luxury Collection Hotel with 15 others spread across India. 

ITC Ratnadipa features 352 guest rooms, suites and service apartments with private balconies in all that open out to stunning waterfront views, a unique feature in the city. The hotel also showcases the finest ITC Hotels culinary experiences presenting 6 signature and award-winning restaurants including Peshwari, Avartana and Yi Jing led by expert Chefs & culinarians and 3 unique bars with leading mixologists.
