Institute of Chemistry Ceylon holds 20th convocation




The 20th convocation of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon was held recently at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, with the presence of Prof. Jayantha Lal Ratnasekara as the chief guest. 

The 20th convocation marked the graduation of 211 graduates and diplomates. A total of 36 students graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science, 133 as graduate chemists and 42 as diplomates from the Diploma in Laboratory Technology. The 20th convocation also marked the graduation of the 41st batch of Graduate Chemists and the third batch of BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science. 

G.S.P. de Silva, T.A. Fernandoand M.M.I.P. Fernando placed first, second and third, respectively, in the Graduateship in Chemistry programme, while R.J.M.Y.M. Senadheera, S.D. Rajapaksha and T.D. Fernando placed first, second and third, respectively, in the BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science Programme.
