LNBTI launches first Education Ministry-approved degree programme

Lanka Nippon Biz Tech Institute (LNBTI), accredited as a degree awarding institute for its unique IT degree programme BSc (Hons) Software Engineering, becomes Sri Lanka’s first and only Japanese higher education institute to feature a Japanese job-oriented programme, approved by the Education Ministry. 

LNBTI is the only Japanese higher education institute in South Asia to offer quality IT degree programmes with an arrangement of professional and permanent employment in the Japanese IT industry. The institute’s strong relationship with professional Japanese business counterparts owes in part to the synergies between its parent companies Metatechno Inc, Japan and hSenid Group of Companies, Sri Lanka. 

As an industry that demands the skills of critical thinkers, LNBTI’s BSc (Hons) Software Engineering programme promotes international collaboration, which invites a host of opportunities for our nation’s youth. LNBTI’s strong partnerships with Japanese universities and industry have helped facilitate knowledge sharing, student exchange and international collaborative research projects, which act as a catalyst for academic and scientific accomplishments. As a developing nation, which is home to talented youngsters, LNBTI’s programmes act as a steppingstone to push Sri Lanka beyond its limitations in pursuit of a better future for all. 

Prof. Sampath Amarathunga in his recorded speech congratulated LNBTI for being accredited as a degree awarding institute. As a recipient of a Japanese government scholarship to pursue his PhD in Japanese universities and as an academic having strong relationships with the Japanese society, Japanese companies, universities and Japanese people, the professor endorses the great value and the unique opportunity that LNBTI has created for Sri Lankan students to join the Japanese industry as professionals through this degree programme.
