With the aim of producing more winners weekly, the Development Lotteries Board introduced its latest lottery ticket titled ‘Sanwardana Lakshapathi’, after four years, at the board’s premises recently.
It is a scheme that expects to give a chance to win Rs.100,000 weekly to 100 winners.
The tickets were sold from February 18, 2016 at all Development Lotteries dealers and ticket counters, priced at Rs.20. Development Lotteries Board General Manager Saman Jayasinghe said that what was special about this lottery is that they produce the most numbers of winners weekly and they spin minimum amount of numbers to choose the winners, which is 50.
“To win 100,000 you need only to match three numbers. Also, when any two numbers are matched, they will be rewarded Rs.200 and for one number they will receive Rs.20,” he said.
He noted that the intention of introducing the new lottery is to contribute more to the President’s Fund, to reward the public and also to benefit the sales representatives and distributors more. He requested the public to purchase the tickets in order to contribute more to the President’s Fund. The first draw will take place on March 14, 2016, which will be telecasted on Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.
Since its inception in 1983, the Development Lotteries Board has tremendously contributed to the Sri Lankan economy and also has been an important contributor to the President’s Fund.
