Mastercard has collaborated with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) as a strategic partner for the 42nd National Information Technology Conference (NITC) 2024.
Scheduled to be held from November 24-26 at Shangri-La, Colombo, the NITC is aimed at advancing professionalism, research, innovation and digital literacy in the country.
Mastercard’s strategic partnership for the event is aligned with the conference’s emphasis on digital transformation and IT innovation. It also highlights the company’s dedication to advancing digital initiatives, particularly in the areas of fintech and digital payments.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Catalysing a Progressive Future: Towards Society 5.0’, which resonates with the government’s vision and commitment of advancing towards a digital economy. Showcasing cutting-edge technology-driven solutions, the conference aims to accelerate Sri Lanka’s transition into an inclusive digital economy, with a focus on fintech, edutech, traveltech, InfoSec and e-governance and e-health.
NITC 2024 is organised under the leadership of CSSL President Dr. Ajantha Atukorale, with CSSL Assistant Secretary Udesh I.W. Seneviratna as Conference Chair.
This year’s conference will host up to 1000 participants, with over 40 distinguished speakers of national and international acclaim.
