NTB initiative increases foreign remittance inflow

Nations Trust Bank (NTB) successfully concluded its ‘We Transfer More Than Just Money’ remittance initiative for 2024, resulting in a significant surge in foreign remittances from overseas.

As part of the initiative, a weekly draw was held over a span of 12 weeks, offering smartphones to lucky winners, who were beneficiaries of international remittances. The 12 fortunate winners, all NTB customers, received remittances from various countries, including the USA, Canada, Europe, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Japan.
This initiative was designed to strengthen the growth of NTB’s remittance services, with the broader goal of increasing foreign remittances into Sri Lanka. The draw drew attention from both senders and receivers of remittances, offering a tangible reward while helping customers stay connected with their loved ones abroad. Each week’s winner was selected randomly, with every qualifying remittance transaction of Rs.50,000 or its equivalent in any foreign currency automatically entered into the draw.

Through this initiative, NTB underscores its commitment to providing more than just financial services. By integrating incentives with seamless and reliable remittance solutions, the bank continues to offer meaningful experiences for its customers, enabling them to maintain strong connections with family and friends abroad.
NTB serves a diverse range of customers across consumer, commercial and corporate segments through multi-channel customer touch points spanning both physical and digital. The bank is focused on digital empowerment through cutting-edge digital banking technologies and pioneered FriMi, Sri Lanka’s leading digital banking experience.
