Orion City to launch EV charging facility

Orion City is launching a cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) charging facility on January 1, 2025. 

This new addition features 120 kW ultra-fast chargers and slower charging options. This latest addition strengthens Orion City’s commitment to sustainability and environmental, social and governance standards, addressing the rising need for robust EV infrastructure in Sri Lanka. 

The charging station will provide a 120 kW ultra-fast CCS2 port for European EV models and a fast charger 62.5 kW CHAdeMO port for Japanese car models. Additionally, two 11 kW Type 2 chargers will serve all EV models ensuring compatibility across EV types.
