SLT-MOBITEL enhances connectivity at Kumana National Park



Reaffirming its commitment to embracing greener business practices, SLT-Mobitel has successfully implemented a 100 percent renewable connectivity at the Kumana National Park, a renowned tourist destination known for its natural beauty. 

This initiative underscores SLT-Mobitel’s commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, ensuring technological advancements are made with minimal environmental impact while promoting 
sustainable tourism.

By offering complete connectivity at the Kumana Park, SLT-Mobitel enables visitors to stay connected with loved ones and share their experiences on social media, significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience. This effort aligns with SLT-Mobitel’s recently launched Co-Connection ESG framework, which is designed to drive the company towards a greener, more sustainable future while ensuring robust governance and community service.

Moreover, SLT-Mobitel has adopted renewable energy solutions at the Kumana, reducing thermal dependency by an impressive 95 percent. This significant reduction underscores SLT-Mobitel’s dedication to embracing sustainability, contributing to the company’s broader goal of incorporating over 25 percent renewable energy into its base station network in the coming years.
