Knife-making in Sri Lanka, a tradition passed down through generations, involves forging steel, precise grinding, and crafting wooden handles by hand. However, the industry is now under pressure as rising raw material costs, particularly for high-quality steel, squeeze profit margins. Local artisans are also losing market share due to an influx of cheaper imported knives, threatening the survival of this age-old craft -
