Two Sri Lankan private sector companies have entered into business arrangements with two New Zealand business giants, following the recent visit of New Zealand Prime Minister John Key.
Sri Lanka’s Assidua Technologies, which specialises in the provision of IT hardware for uninterrupted power supply services, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with New Zealand company PowerShield Limited which specialises in selling the latter’s equipment as part of its core battery monitoring solutions.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s largest air conditioning and refrigeration company Frostaire Limited signed a MoU with New Zealand company Patton Limited for the sole distribution of Patton brand of evaporators and condensing units for cold room applications in the Sri Lankan market.
The signing of the MoU was witnessed by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce during his visit to Sri Lanka last week.
Two-way trade between New Zealand and Sri Lanka totalled US $324 million last year.
