Mentos Maxxa, the latest addition to the popular confectionary range, was launched by Perfetti Van Melle Sri Lanka at a recent event held at Excel World, Colombo.
Honouring the event was Sri Lankan Cricket Captain and Mentos Brand Ambassador Angelo Mathews, who spoke of the potential success of the new product and was quoted saying “I myself tried it and it only took a few seconds for me to really like it. I’m sure people who try it out, just like me, will be instant fans.”
Also present at the launch were the brand’s business partners including distributors, sales personnel and several company representatives.
Mentos Maxxa contains the dual combination of Aniseed and Menthol, which are known to sooth the throat. Mentos Maxxa also acts as a quick breath freshener and apart from many other cough lozenges or breath freshening candies available in the market, it has a smooth mouth feel and a good balance of flavours. Like all other Perfetti Van Melle candies, Mentos Maxxa is packaged in a pillow pack which maintains the freshness of the products.
Speaking at the event, Perfetti Van Melle Sri Lanka Sales and Marketing Manager Baljit Singh said, “Our wide distribution strength has the product readily accessible throughout the island so that consumers will be able to experience for themselves the superiority of Mentos Maxxa over its competition. We are confident that the launch of Mentos Maxxa will enable us to take the Mentos brand to new heights in Sri Lanka.”
Also commenting on the launch, Perfetti Van Melle Sri Lanka Country Manager Sumitava Basu said, “The new launch is a manifestation of Perfetti Van Melle group’s commitment to introduce the best quality products in Sri Lanka. Mentos Maxxa is a result of extensive research conducted to understand the needs of the Sri Lankan consumer and like our other well-established brands such as Center Fresh, Center Fruit, Alpenliebe, etc. it is produced in our state-of-the-art factory in Seeduwa. We hope that our products will continue to delight our consumers and help strengthen our relationship with them.”
Mentos Maxxa follows the successful launch of Mentos Sugarfree Gum introduced earlier this year for the very first time in Sri Lanka specifically aimed at the calorie-conscious modern-day consumer.
