Aravinda Sanjeewa - Manager Maintenance sharing the 5S experience with senior management team of Virtusa 


The senior management team headed by A .T. Harshaa De Silva,  Consultant Administration, Virtusa (Pvt) Ltd. recently visited MMBL-Pathfinder Group, which was the first Sri Lankan company to receive the 5S Workplace Management System’s International Certificate by the International Certification Services Ltd of Mumbai, India in 2014 for their awareness of the 5S experience and best practices of excellence.

MMBL provides private equity investment business, brand / franchise management, investment banking, accounting, legal, general management & management consulting and project promotion.

Also their achievement of 5S standard level has been at a surprisingly low duration of seven weeks, which itself was a commendable achievement.

Virtusa team shared the 5s methods, experience and best practices which MMBL fallowed on their competition time. These included way they maintain safer work areas, the way they conduct things on daily basis , establishing document standard methods across similar work areas, safety methods, about conducting scheduled, archive handling, approach to 5S and KPI performance, car park arranging, routine checks by team leaders or supervisors or by people from outside of the workgroup etc.

It was a delightful experience for both companies and MMBL Group always welcomes any company to share the 5s experience.
