Arosha to represent Sri Lanka in Taiwan



This year, Global Study Programme for ‘Future Leaders’ from Indo-Pacific Region will be conducted by the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, over a period of one week, from December 13 to 19.
Over 30 countries are expected to participate in this year’s Global Study Programme for Future Leaders from Indo-Pacific Region and well-known scholar, entrepreneur and leading businessman Dr. Arosha Fernando has been selected to represent Sri Lanka in the said global annual event. 


Since 2005, Dr. Fernando has held many senior government positions in Sri Lanka, irrespective of the government in power, including Coordinating Secretary to the State Tourism Ministry, Coordinating Secretary to the State Transport Ministry, Senior President Advisor on Telecommunications attached to the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRC-SL), Working Director of ITN TV channel and Lakhanda radio channel, Senior Advisor to the Fisheries and Acquitic Resources Ministry, etc.
He is currently Chairman of Lakma Holdings Limited and four other multinational companies in Sri Lanka.
