The government of Turkiye has extended a medical donation amounting to US $ 1 million to Sri Lanka, to help the country tackle the shortage of emergency medicines and medical supplies.
The donation will reach the island nation in batches and the first consignment came in on 14 August.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Ankara in a statement said another batch of supplies will arrive in the country mid September. The consignment was dispatched from the Izmit Sea Port, Turkiye on 17 August.
