Many lessons taught this historical elections for all of us to look for a new future leaving behind disasterous garbage of post independence political debacle. Many challenges ahead for patriotic national minded people of once a beautiful island high time we reclaim our place globally as a proud sovereign nation

He looks very simple, which is a good sign and aligns well with ordinary people. Only time will tell how he will do good things for Sri Lanka as president. He should not jump the gun but instead make changes gradually because Sri Lanka is in the hands of lenders due to its debt. The best thing he can do first is cut off all the luxurious facilities enjoyed by former corrupt political leaders, including Gotabaya.

Congratulations to you and your party leaders. We only hope that you will bring one law, one country policy, recover stolen assets and bring down the cost of living.
