'AERO BASH 2024' kicks off in Trincomalee

The "AERO BASH 2024" educational, technical, and trade exhibition commenced on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay.

The event, inaugurated by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, will continue until 26 August 2024 at the Academy premises.

This year's exhibition features an extensive array of booths from both state and private universities, as well as various business and technical institutions from across Sri Lanka. Attendees can explore a wide range of exhibits and demonstrations, including thrilling parachute jumps by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), live firefighting drills, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercises, and engaging dog shows.

A major highlight of "AERO BASH 2024" is the introduction of the ‘Tandem Jump’ adventure sport, available for the first time in the Trincomalee area. This new and exciting experience is open to adventure enthusiasts, as well as both local and international tourists, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy skydiving in a scenic locale.

The exhibition opens daily at 3:00 p.m., with a diverse schedule of activities planned for the evenings. Visitors can look forward to trade shows and musical concerts organized by the Air Force, providing entertainment and enriching experiences for all attendees.
