Comments - Against privatising public institutions

This is the very reason why privatisation should proceed with haste. All these jokers most likely employed by government institutions would abandon their desks and come on the streets screaming and waving placards during paid working hours. To hell with work and serving the public, they have been instructed to protest by thier puppet masters!

Privatisation leads to Productivity Wednesday, 21 February 2024 08:34 PM
Good move. Those who are hardworking would fit in well when it’s privatised. The mindset of these government employees must change now to ensure the public is given priority. The recent death of a child due to a tree falling after repeated warnings by the public is an example why there must be change in the government sector.

Not many people because NPP is not participating . They have been bought by India in return for a hope for capturing power.

Thanks god then! No need to fear them coming to power in that case since they will not stall economic reforms and healthy private sector

PRIVATIZATION is the way forward for our country, the buck should start with all LOSS MAKING government institutions. The CEB, CPC, SRILANKAN etc should be handed over to the private sector and these guys protesting on the streets should be kicked out of their jobs.

Public sevants enjoy FAT SALARY on the tax Payers money. They go to work late, have a big chit chat during office time, work as never mind style, no target given to them etc. Politicians must refrain from giving jobs to their clan. Most of the departments are over staffed.

The state has never been a good businessman. Privatization can only be good for the population and always leads to price reductions. Even public institutions that are currently making profits must be privatized because much more profit is possible. Hopefully the new owners will act like I do when taking over a company. I never took on a single employee from the old workforce.
