Thanks for being brave to stage the demo. Let's keep pushing the demand, until one day we see a leader with backbone and "will" to nail this criminal act.

It’s high time Govt take tuff action against these Uni Thugs. Why some political parties who always talk against Govt action are silent on activities of Student Union. People should reject political parties who support unions who destroy life/ future of students.

The solution lies in meeting the menace of ragging by bringing the culprits to justice using extra judicial methods, as used during the JVP uprising. Then all ragging will stop.

Things have changed over time, and now ragging has become a ritual to frighten, hurt and wound the innocent students. Back in 70s the ragging was there but haven't heard such stories, however, there were isolated incidents. I myself had been subjected to ragging in early 70 over two weeks period.
Some senior rag out of jelosy, I still remember the final day of ragging followed a social event. It was scary as most of the seniors who conduct the ragging were fully drunk . I cannot provide further details as they are inhuman and lead to permanent disability might even death.

How can the President personally stop ragging ? This is a mental disease which requires even the parents of these maniacs have to be treated. This starts at home, in school and ultimately in the University. Remember the recent incident of royalists jumping over the wall of a girls' school. They were only reprimanded because their parents are generally enjoying higher social status. Treatment has to be given at the grass root level itself of course not forgetting to give the heaviest possible punishment to those univrsity culprits

Beginning of the end of ragging. A President who won the war has done nothing so far to decimate the bunch of hooligans in Universities, causing immense physical and mental pain to students and parents, year after year. If you cannot eradicate this, NOW, THIS YEAR ITSELF, we have to conclude that you had no capability to command the army.

Ragging ia an another word for begging for political power victimising the students who enter the University following a life and death struggle in studies. Isn't this supported by private higher education institutes to discourage well- to do parents in sending them to state universities.

The ragging culture has close relation with development of the country. Ragging can destroy great leaders and innovators.
There are enough serious cases from minor injuries to death. Those who love the country if not can stop the ragging by gentle actions one day there could be greater bloodshed.

It is a very brave act, Thank you very much for your
demo. Criminals should be punished according to the 1991 parliamentary act.
