ONE WOULD THINK YOU HE SHOULD HAVE TO RESIGN, IF SO HE WILL DO SO AT THE LAST MINUTE AND BE REPLACED BY RUWAN (MY PREDICTION ONLY IF HE CANNOT COME FORWARD AS A INDEPENDENT WHILE LEADING THE UNP.

How long, have they been fooling the public at this time? they can fool some people over 65 who were born and brought up with golden memories of the UNP period in Sri Lankan politics. This nostalgia is gone by now. The new generation does not know all of those and If Ranil lives in the past, I do not think he can win any elections even with SJB. A lot of dramatic change occurs in a new generation's minds. what percentage of votes do you have from the old generation,? what percentage from new generations? why do these people waste their time and energy in party politics : UNP and SLPP have done a collective political suicide if they contest any election and I'm not a politicians and I do not have a party but let our common sense prevail.

The basic ground level mechanism of UNP has already been smashed and that had proven in the last concluded general election in 2020. Ranil survives with total number of votes island-wide as national list despite of majority of preferential votes he had in Colombo undoubtedly no more support
