Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander General Shavendra Silva today received the Covid-19 vaccine after all frontline personnel fighting against Covid-19 were administered with Covishield Astra-Zeneca vaccine.Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Gopal Bagley also attended to witness Army Commander receiving the vaccine at the Army Hospital.

Please create a website to register over 60 years of age online and take an appointment for vaccination to be given at a designated place or according to locality. It is impossible for a senior citizen to stand in a queue for hours to get a jab.

Well, my wife and I have just done that. I am 78, my wife is 82 and we stood in a queue with 1,500 others in Negombo last week and received our first vaccination. There were lots of other old people there as well.
