Thank you China for building this great hall for us, the only hall we have that is both practical and glamorous to hold any international conference in Sri Lanka. Just imagine if India had been allowed to build this hall fifty years ago, I am sure parts of the building would have started to collapsed by now. Also we have to remember that China built it free for us.

When I see the photos with Chandrika Kumaratunga at the Golden Jubilee BMICH, I still remember very well the years when she led Sri Lanka in the most difficult times as President in an excellent way! She convinced and impressed not only with her intellectual brilliance, her political cleverness and steadfastness and her charisma, but also with her personal commitment and her love for the country! How much more does she tower above the current generation of politicians in every respect, above all President Ranil Wickremesigne, who is not legitimized by a popular mandate, whom she and his political thinking, especially from the time of the LTTE terrorism, knows very well! Where are the politicians of comparable caliber who could lead Sri Lanka into the future!?

Truly, BMICH is a very BEAUTIFUL BUILDING. It can even be compared to Opera House in Australia and Burj Kalufa in Dubai. Its the sole responsibility of the Government to preserve this iconic building.

This great building is synonymous with the name of that great Lady PM SIRIMAVO BANDARANAIKE. We now have crooks ruling the country and we are sad to see in the Golden Jubilee celebrations some pictures taken with some of them including Dinesh, Vidura, Bandula and others.
