Blackout triggers panic...
The islanswide power outage experienced yesterday almost brought the country to a standstill with many people finding it difficult to engage in their daily routine. Against this backdrop, the power failure caused massive traffic jam in Colombo and other areas as well. Also, people are seen queued up at filling stations due to fear that power disruption would continue. Pix by Pradeep Pathirana
