The Colombo Municipal Council was illuminated in vibrant pink for the fourth consecutive year on October 3, symbolizing the unwavering support for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month in sync with the Global Landmark Illumination Campaign initiated in 2000, gracing over 140 countries. The Colombo Municipal Council joined the 140 countries in the campaign for breast cancer awareness and early detection. The event is a collaborative effort led by the CMC, National Cancer Control Programme of the Ministry of Health, and The Sri Lanka College of Oncologists, Sri Lanka Association of Breast Surgeons, College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka and Indira Cancer Trust.
