Happy Thai Pongal....
those memorable childhood life in my village never come back : a lovely foggy early morning, preparing our front yard to make pongal with surrounding atmosphere of chirping birds and hearing fireworks at distance. later playing with friends, participating in a greasy pole competition, but always fails.

Many poor Hindus did not light lamps on New Year and Thai pongal because they could not afford to buy oil. Let's hope that the 7 1/2 Saturn's influence on Sri Lanka will be over soon and the nature will light up every home.
