Water, our 'blue gold' from the heven/sky, is akin to how Saudis efficiently use every drop of their 'black gold' without waste. We can learn from historical kings like Parakramabahu, Kashyapa, and the past kings of Anuradhapura.
Let's make the most of every raindrop, not letting it flow into the sea. Following the examples of Kashyapa and the Anuradhapura kings, we can create irrigation/pipe systems to carry this water to dry areas and fill underground storage tables. During the dry season, we can tap into these reservoirs to make our country self-sufficient in crops.

Wishful and positive thinking. Before that, we need to get rid of all these party politicians and get a brand new generation to come to power.

Rain in Colombo is as useless as Colombo, which sucks all productivity in the country, to the economy

@sss: Rain in Colombo is not useless. It cleans up the polluted canals, albeit temporarily, provides water to the trees and provides relief from the hot weather.
