Why we repeatedly hearing of police doing social work in the society. When they have utterly failed in the task of crime prevention and detection which is their job purpose it is ridiculous to see them providing meals to pupils. Specially when we realise that they are not spending their own money to buy this food to be given to others

Absolute B.S!! Its not the job of cops to feed school children, it is the responsibility of the State and society at large to ensure things are normal as they used to be! This is just eye-wash!

I had a wholesale shop in Pettah. This is usual for police to come over to these wholesale merchants and collect groceries for free and owners give in under duress. It's from these forcibly collected groceries that they do these type of charity works. Half of such forcibly collected groceries are taken home for their personal use.

Good and honest police officers who even investigate criminal politicians have to flee the country, resign or face reprisals. What's left are cowards, bribe takers, or barbaric sadists who put themselves in the service of crooked politicians and autocrats, and on whose behalf they beat up peaceful activists, even those with young children. How could it come to this, with an once honorable and respected police force established by the British?

Why are you making allegations only against only the police. Go to Any courts, customs dept govt hospitals or any govt departs. There is nothing but corruptions. When there are allegations against the Head of State, Prime Ministers, judges of the courts and So called Cabiner Ministers, what can you expect in this country. The money paid ti T’sunamu victims was played out, one time Chief Justice Sarath Silwa said that Mahinda Rajapakseshould have been jailed. This is what we have got with 74 years of independence..
