A corona infected patient who had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in critical condition due to a heart attack, underwent an emergency surgery to insert a stent to remove a thrombose in a main blood vessel.

The head of the medical team Cardiologist Dr. Gotabaya Ranasinghe said the 41-year old patient had developed a condition due to coronary thrombosis when he contracted corona. He said the patient was in a critical condition when admitted to the hospital and that he was immediately subject to a rapid antigen test to find out that he had contracted CORONA.
