The Culinary Arts Food Expo, Sri Lanka’s most comprehensive food and beverage exhibition, returns for its 18th consecutive year. Culinary Arts Food Expo 2023 will showcase a wide range of food products and services, from preparation to consumption, encompassing both the culinary and hospitality sectors. In short, every aspect of food from "factory to table" will be covered at the Expo. The exhibition runs from today until Sunday night. Pix by Kithsiri De Mel

Sri Lanka should have been designing and producing cars,ships ,planes, and space crafts. All we did since independence was produced doctors who only know to write prescriptions of medicines made by someone else, engineers who never involved in major Sri Lankan projects and now cooks who think they are intellectuals . And for the economic survival we depend on White Tourists and IMF loan.

How could Sri Lanka could be a such a marvel. The country cannot even sale it's agricultural produce within the country giving a reasonable profit to the farmers. A nation with no courage for change, only blindly follow political parties. Say they are a Buddhist country, but cannot even understand what is good and bad.

@Namal, you are ignorant to the fact that there are top Scientists and Mathematicians of Sri Lankan origin whose brain power is being used by America for the benefit of their country . They should be brought to work in Sri Lanka at least routinely .

Of Course there are many Sri Lankan born intellectuals living around the world . The most important question is , why they left Sri Lanka to the other parts of the world and contributing their skills ,, expertise , and knowledge to other countries . Mainly in Sri Lanka there are no value based system instead every where mainly in government are practising NEPOTISAM .
