Diplomats from Middle East & Asia meet Basil

High Commissioners of Pakistan and Bangladesh and Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait met with Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa yesterday at the Finance Ministry.

Accordingly Bangladesh High Commissioner Tareq Md. Ariful Islam, Pakistan Acting High Commissioner Tanvir Ahmad, Saudi Arabia Ambassador Abdul Naser H. Al Harthi, Egypt Ambassador Hussein EL Saharty and Kuwait Ambassador Khalaf Bu Dhhair had a lengthy discussion on how to further strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and those countries.

Speaking on the occasion, Bangladesh High Commissioner said that he was pleased that Sri Lanka had been able to achieve an economic growth rate of 4% despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
