great news, however, we need to see a holistic view of whether subsidies benefit the economy overall. It might be, and there can be many reasons including food security we need some subsidies to farmers, but subsidies must not be exploited by a handful of large businessmen to make huge profits, that is like taxpayers paying for businessmen profits. There can be many ways to stop this monopoly including govt stepping into paddy purchase which can be very inefficient, another way is bringing restrictions on how much one businessman can buy out of total production (let's say max 5%), price gauging (having control price) will not work, it just creates further issues.
