What a travesty of a sacred Hindu temple with piousness as the hallmark turned into a circus for entertainment. People walk on pilgrimage from as far as the northernmost point - Point Pedro.

I’ve seen crazier way of worshiping in Europe during winter solstice but the people of those countries never call such practices as delusional acts or Baal worshipping. Celebrating God Kataragama Festival is part of Sri Lanka heritage and I wish I could be there too!
